Faith is like a precious ring. It is one of the rings of power that God wants us to wear everyday. Jesus wanted His disciples to “have faith in God constantly”. There are some persons who do not take off their rings. They wear them in the shower. They wear them to bed. They wear them at work and they wear them on holiday. They are constantly in possession of their rings.
God wants us to be constantly in possession of faith in God. God wants us to have trust and confidence in Him constantly. In Mark 11, Jesus cursed a fig tree. Jesus told the fig tree that no one would eat fruit from it again. Peter and the other disciples heard Jesus speak to the fig tree but they did not believe that Jesus’ words would take root, grow to maturity and replace the roots of that fig tree.
The next day, the disciples were surprised to find the fig tree dried up from the roots. Jesus was not surprised; He always possessed faith in God. Jesus is encouraging us to possess the same faith in God. Jesus is encouraging us to wear faith in God in the same way we wear our personal rings on our fingers on a daily basis.
Having faith in God is the first step to living an overcoming life. It is the first step to receiving what we ask for, finding what we are searching for and opening the door that we are knocking on.
